On Wednesday, 16 August 2017, MAKEEN Energy's new, high-technology manufacturing centre was officially inaugurated in Sri Lanka. Our new production facility is meant to manufacture and deliver a wide range of Kosan Crisplant and Siraga equipment.

The ceremony

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Sarath Amunugama (Minister of Special Assignments - Sri Lanka) and Mr. Lasantha Alagiyawanna (Deputy Minister of Finance and Mass Media - Sri Lanka) together with the Board of Directors and the Al-Ayuni Board of Management as well as the MAKEEN Energy Groups. Representatives from many other bodies, including the Sri Lankan government officials, suppliers, service providers and our colleagues from various parts of the globe also took part in the spectacular celebration. The ceremony was characterised by a vibrant and festive atmosphere with official speeches, cultural events, and of course, a tour of the new manufacturing facility.

Better service for our customers

We are thrilled about the opportunities this new manufacturing centre will bring. It will support the ever-increasing product range and production volumes of our group and finally allow us to manufacture both Siraga and Kosan Crisplant equipment under one roof. The centre will also facilitate better operating spaces, manufacturing process flows and state-of-the art equipment to boost our production.

Our customers worldwide will receive the full benefits of this new, high-tech manufacturing centre due to our enhanced production and delivery efficiencies. As a group, we are now even better prepared to take on new and exciting challenges that the LPG cylinder filling industry has to offer in the years to come.

As the new manufacturing centre has been long underway, naturally, the inauguration day was not only celebrated in Sri Lanka, but was also marked across the globe in all our local hubs.
