Read More About Kosan Crisplant
The Beginning

It began over 50 years ago in 1951 when after many years of own engineering activities, Mr. Svend Christensen founded the company Crisplant a/s. The company sold various transport systems for completely different purposes, e.g. for transportation of milk cans and gas cylinders.

Throughout the 50s, Crisplant continuously created new equipment, and our range of products and markets grew steadily, and in 1957 Crisplant was the leading company in the world for filling systems for gas cylinders.

Enter Kosan

The Kosan Group became interested in Crisplant, and over a 10-year period, the group acquired all the shares in Crisplant a/s.

Investments were made in a new factory, and in January 1960 we moved to new premises in Aarhus with 35 employees.

Until 1961 all manufacturing activities were placed with subcontractors, but strict quality requirements resulted in a transfer to in-house manufacturing at Crisplant.

Parcel Sorting

The mid-60s saw a new chapter in the history of Crisplant. We wanted to automatise and rationalise the handling and sorting of parcels.

We then had two main product lines: LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas Filling Systems) and the new line ATS (Automatic High-Speed Transport and Sorting Systems).

Management Buy-Out

In 1976, Crisplant moved again to new premises on the outskirts of Aarhus at P.O. Pedersens Vej. In 1988, Crisplant was taken over by five managers via a management buy-out which led to Crisplant's introduction at the Copenhagen Stock Exchange as an independent company in December 1995.

Electronics In the Filling Halls

In 1990, we were the first to introduce electronically controlled equipment to the LPG industry.

In June 1999, Crisplant was sold to the British FKI plc and delisted at the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. The LPG activities were gathered first in a division then in an independent company as Kosan Crisplant a/s.

Kosan Crisplant a/s was then part of a worldwide group of companies with more than 17,000 employees.

Into the Future

In June 2003 Kosan Crisplant changed management. Managing Director Mr. Anders C. Anderson and Financial Director Mr. Mads Bach Christensen launched a new corporate vision and set of values.

In November 2004 Kosan Crisplant was acquired by Segulah, a private equity company based in Sweden.

As of 6th January 2006 Kosan Crisplant Holding took over French competitor PAM (Provençale d'Automation et de Mécanique) and widely extended global network and market share.

In January 2008 the Kosan Crisplant Group was acquired by Bahrain based investment bank Seera Investment Bank ("Seera").
