Emission reductions with LNG

LNG is composed of primarily methane and emits significantly lower amounts of CO2, SOX and NOX into the atmosphere than other fossil fuels. Below, LNG is compared with HFO (heavy fuel oil) used for shipping, coal used for industry and diesel used for transportation. As the numbers show, LNG provides substantial emission reductions in comparison with other commonly used fuels.
